Portrait Photography Rates How much does it cost? • Photography rates are divided into 3 parts: 1. Photo Shoot - $50 per hour, unlimited shooting.* 2. Enhancement (basic retouching and cropping - required):$10.00

Print costs (traditional wet processing from pro photo lab - these are not inkjet or laser prints, but archival prints developed in the very same way as traditional film): 4x6 = $5.00 5x7 = $10.00 8x10 or 8x12 = $20.00 *There is a $0.30 per mile travel fee for location shoots outside of Madison, Wisconsin. No travel fee for shoots within Madison city limits. • As many pictures as time allows for each hour of shooting. The best 25 shots (from each hour) posted on my website for you to review within one week of the shoot. These website proofs are not retouched and not suitable for printing. Only after you have made your selections will I proceed with the standard enhancement package. Standard enhancement includes cosmetic refinements such as removing skin blemishes, whitening teeth, brightening eyes, etc., as well as overall color optimization and soft focus filters if desired. A CD including all your chosen, retouched photos suitable for e-mailing to your friends or website posting (jpeg files at 600x800 pixels and 72 dpi). • What optional services are available? Extended enhancement involves removing the subject from the background and placing that subject on a different background. This is a nice way to remove background clutter and produce a more striking overall image using a more dramatic background image. I have a library of backgrounds to choose from. If you have a background of suitable resolution, I may be able to use that image. Extended enchancemnt requires more time and skill to perform, so the rate for exteneded enhancement is $20 per image which includes all the standard enhancement features. High resolution, retouched, actual print files (full size at 300+ dpi) are available for purchase allowing you the freedom to reprint these files yourself at any time.* Each high resolution print file costs $20. *Files are color-optimized for the photo developer used by Vanishing Point Digital Design + Photography. Vanishing Point cannot guarantee color accuracy of files printed by individuals or businesses other than Vanishing Point. • The physical cost of the reprints is the same as listed above. A flat fee of $15 is charged for as many reprints as you choose. This fee covers the cost of retrieving the print files, burning the files to CD for photo development, delivery and pick-up of photos from the photo developer. |
